Dear Parent/Guardian:

Welcome to the 23 -24 school year. This year we cannot wait to start a productive school year to ensure that our children achieve their highest potential. We approach each year with the belief that all of our students are capable of learning, growing, and achieving individualized goals. We are firm believers in the power of growth mindset and self-efficacy. We realize that in order to be successful academically and behaviorally our students need support from both home and school; a strong partnership will make a great difference in your child’s progress.

We will begin the new 2023 – 2024 school year on Thursday, September 8, 2023. The school day begins at 8:30 and ends at 2:30 Monday – Friday. All students attending MCGA Pre-K-12 are required to wear school uniforms (see student/parent handbook dress code policy).

The beginning of a new school year reminds us that the future holds infinite possibilities for MCGA. Our hope is that this school year we begin with a new vision, positive change and excitement. Learn to write articles on your favorite topics to put in Mighty Eagle News, our professionally printed school newspaper! Anyone who participates in the paper will be part of our Chinese food luncheon, given when that edition goes to print!

High School students have the opportunity to participate in electives and prevocational classes such as culinary arts, computer technology, life skills, building trades, fine arts, and journalism.

Each classroom is led by state certified teachers in special education as well as specific content areas. In addition, each class consists of multiple paraprofessionals.

Through one-on-one instruction, students participate in discrete trial instruction, readiness skills, expressive and receptive language development, academic skills, and independent living skills.
