Admission Procedure

All student referrals for admission are done so in writing and include pertinent records – Social, Educational, Psychological, and Speech evaluations, as well as an IEP.  All referral materials are reviewed by administrative, clinical, and when appropriate, other related service staff, in an effort to determine appropriateness.  If after review, it is determined that the student would be an appropriate candidate, an intake appointment is scheduled.  A primary consideration of the intake meeting is to determine the school’s ability to implement the components of the IEP.

An IEP meeting may be scheduled following a student’s first thirty days of enrollment.  The purpose of this meeting is to update the IEP to include academic, behavioral and related service goals, which are reflective of the Mount CarmelGuildAcademy program.
